Marking Records for E-mail or Downloading
If you want to send records to your e-mail account or download them to a diskette, it is a
good idea to mark them first.
- You can mark items only when you are looking at a list of titles or an individual item
record.
- To mark an item if you are looking at a list of titles, click in the box to the left
of the item's title. A small check mark will appear. To unmark an item, just click in the box
again and the mark will be removed. If you are looking at an individual item record, click
on the
button at the top of the screen.
- Continue going through records on the page, marking those you know you will want to
use.
- When you have marked all the records you want, click the
button at the top of the screen. The page will reload and you
will see a new option,
which appears
at the top of the screen.
- To e-mail records:
- Choose, one of the choices under "Format of List" by clicking in the circle next to
it. A brief display will send only the call number, title, author, and publication to your
e-mail account. The full display will send all the information from the brief display as well
as all subject headings and any notes or additional information. Choose Pro-Cite or End-Note
only if you have access to either of those software packages. You will not want to choose
MARC.
- Next fill in your e-mail address.
- Choose Local Disk to download the records. Then follow the download prompts
form the web browser.
- Click on the Submit button.
- After the page reloads, click on the
button.
You may either continue searching for additional items or exit the Indiana Wesleyan
University Library Catalog.
